Is my device compatible with eSIM?
To check if your device supports eSIM, refer to your device’s specifications or contact your service provider. You can also see a list of compatible devices at the bottom of this page.
When does my eSIM plan become active?
Your eSIM plan will be activated automatically upon completion of your online purchase. For more details or assistance, please contact our local Customer Care Centre by calling +685 67121 or emailing customercare@vodafone.com.ws
Can i reuse the same QR code for a different device?
No, the QR code can only be used once. Once scanned, the code cannot be reused.
What happens if I fail to scan the QR code?
  • If you fail to scan the QR code due to mishandling or incorrect setup, you may need to purchase a new QR code, which could incur additional charges. Ensure your device is eSIM-compatible, has a functional QR code feature, and that you have a stable internet connection.

    Please note that we do not offer refunds for eSIM purchases made online if activation fails due to these factors. This policy is due to requirements for good internet coverage, a compatible device with functional QR code feature, and the one-time use of the QR code. For more details, please refer to our ‘non-refundable policy’.

The eSIM plan provides:

  • Unlimited Vodafone-to-Vodafone minutes and texts

How do I set up my eSIM on my device?
The setup process can vary depending on whether you have an Android or iOS device. After purchase, you’ll receive a QR code and activation instructions via email. Open the ‘Welcome Pack’ and scan the QR code using your device’s settings to complete the QR code installation process. Follow these instructions carefully to prepare your device for eSIM activation.
Can I purchase an eSIM as a gift?
Yes, you can buy an eSIM as a gift. Simply provide the recipient's email address at checkout.
Is there a fee for activating an eSIM?
No, activation is free. The plan’s data, minutes, and text are valid for 15 days from activation.
Can I switch between multiple eSIM profiles on the same device?
Yes, you can easily switch between multiple eSIM profiles on your device to use different numbers or data plans.
How can I check if I have used the QR code or not?
If the QR code is invalid or used, you’ll see a message stating “Can’t add eSIM. The code isn’t valid or has already been used.”
What should I first check before installing my eSIM?

Ensure:

  • Your device supports eSIM.
  • You have a stable internet connection.
  • A functional QR code feature.
  • The QR code is for one-time use only.
  • Do not delete your eSIM profile after installation, as it cannot be reinstalled.
Where can I find my eSIM number?
You can find your eSIM number in the welcome pack emailed to you after purchase, which also includes setup guides and important service details. Alternatively, dial *111# to check your number directly from your device.
Can I have multiple eSIM profiles on one device?
Yes, you can have multiple eSIM profiles on a single device, allowing you to switch between different plans or carriers.
Do I need to remove my physical SIM card to use an eSIM?
No, you can use both a physical SIM and an eSIM simultaneously on many devices.
Is eSIM secure?
Yes, eSIMs are secure. They use encryption and other security measures to protect your data and privacy, similar to physical SIM cards.

Please contact Vodafone Samoa Customer Care Centre at +685 67121 or email customercare@vodafone.com.ws for help if you face activation issues. Upon arrival to Samoa, please visit our Vodafone Airport store or any of our Vodafone stores.

How does the 15-day validity period work with the plan’s data, minutes, and texts?
The 15-day validity period applies to the entire eSIM plan, which includes 20GB of data, 100 international minutes for NZ and Australia calls only, 50 and unlimited local minutes and texts. Calls to our local directory line (+685 933) are subject to standard charges and are not included in your plan's unlimited minutes. If you use up your data before the 15 days are over, you will need to buy a new data plan to continue using the internet. For calls and texts, you can either purchase an additional bundle or pay standard rates. Any unused entitlements expire at the end of the 15-day period and do not roll over.
Can I purchase the same eSIM plan again after the 15 days?

The eSIM plan is a one-time offer for 15 days. To stay connected afterward, you can top up online via the Vodafone website. After purchase, you’ll receive an email with setup guides, a welcome pack detailing the plan, and QR codes for:

  • Your eSIM
  • Accessing the top-up page
  • QR Code for viewing available prepaid bundles.
How can I purchase an additional prepaid plan?
Simply top up your account and access the *888# self-care menu. From there, select options #2, #3, or #4 to view and choose from different prepaid plans. How do I set up the APN for my Vodafone eSIM?
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Find Cellular or Mobile Network.
  3. Add Cellular Plan.
  4. Enter APN Details:
    • APN Name: Vodafone
    • APN: 4g.vodafone
  5. Save and Activate.
Can I roam on my Vodafone eSIM?
Yes, you can. Since the Vodafone eSIM is prepaid, ensure you have enough credit to roam in eligible countries where Vodafone Samoa offers prepaid roaming. You can top up via our website: vodafone.com.ws/top-up. Prepaid roaming is available in Fiji, Cook Islands, American Samoa, New Zealand, and Australia. Can I use my Vodafone eSIM plan overseas?
No, the plan benefits can only be used in Samoa.
How am I getting the QR code for my eSIM after purchase?
After completing your online purchase, you will receive two emails from Vodafone: one with your transaction receipt and another with a 'Welcome Pack' that includes your QR code and eSIM details. If the emails don’t appear in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder. For further assistance, contact our Vodafone Customer Care Centre at +685 67121.
